Phyllis A. Gimotty, Ph.D.

Phyllis A. Gimotty, Professor of Biostatistics, joined the biostatistics faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. Her clinical research interests include cancer translational research, biomarker and prognostic studies, and risk assessment. She is currently the Biostatistics Core Director for two program projects on melanoma and esophageal cancer etiology, progression and treatment. Her primary research interests include evaluating diagnostic tests, model assessment, classification trees, and prognostic models with high-dimensional data. She is the Principal Investigator of Penn’s Cancer Biostatistics Training Grant. Dr. Gimotty is a Statistical Editor for the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
