Kathleen Joy Propert, Sc.D.

Kathleen Joy Propert, Professor of Biostatistics, joined the biostatistics faculty in 1996 from the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Propert’s primary areas of research are the design and conduct of clinical trials and T1 translational research. She serves as director of the biostatistics core for the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) and co-directs Data Coordinating Centers for cooperative groups in urological chronic pelvic pain syndromes. Her other methodological research is in optimal design and in longitudinal data analysis. Related work focuses on the interaction of research ethics and statistical methods, especially in study design.
